Independent Living Skills Programs

Greater Washington Urban League and Center for Independent Living
Extended Services to the Blind and Visually Impaired

Program provides specialized training in Braille, mobility, health, safety, and consumer education. Transportation, recreation, friendly visitation, and telephone reassurance services are also available. A meal is served at noon.

Extended Services to the Hearing Impaired

Program offers supportive and social services to persons with hearing disabilities. Services include counseling, health services, consumer education, recreation, nutrition, and transportation.
